Marius Kerkvliet
I am Marius, a web designer in Leiden, the Netherlands. I design and build everything myself, from the first sketch to the day it goes live.
For others I made, among other things, the site of John Asian Food in Barneveld, which shows by itself whether the kitchen is open, and the one for the Xilent Disco Walk, a charity walk through Leiden.
I also build my own products: AnswerGround, which shows where a business ranks in Google Maps, Knyaw, a free app for learning to read Sgaw Karen, and three extensions in the Chrome Web Store.
I also have experience in Roblox development.

How does the free demo work?
You send me your business name and your current site, or a few lines about what you do. Within 48 hours you get a link to a working demo of your new homepage, with your name, your copy and your colours. It costs nothing and you are not committed to anything. If you like it, you get a fixed price and a delivery date and I build the rest. If you do not, I take it offline and you will not hear from me again.
How do I know the price will not creep up?
Because it is not an estimate. You get one amount in writing before I start, and that is what the invoice says. I do not bill the build by the hour: overruns cost me time, not you money.
How do I know it will not drag on for months?
The delivery date is in the quote, so it is a promise. A website takes one to two weeks, a web shop two to three, an extension three to five, an app three to six. You see the work along the way.
What do you need from me to start?
A few lines about your business and what you want. That is all I need for a price and a date.
What happens after it goes live?
Pay in one go and the site is yours right away. Domain and hosting are in your name, so you are never tied to me. Maintenance is a fixed monthly amount: the first three months are fixed, after that you cancel any month. Small changes are billed by the hour, always agreed first. If you leave, I hand everything over for free.
When do I pay, and what if it goes wrong?
A website or web shop you pay in one of two ways. In one go, only once it is live. Or per month: nothing upfront, the subscription runs for a fixed first three months, and if you stop you take the site over for what is still open of the build. An app, extension or automation you pay in two halves: at the start and at delivery. Fourteen days per invoice, nothing afterwards. If you stop halfway through the build, you pay only for what is finished and keep what is already there.
