My own Mac app
I designed and built Diskwasher for my own Mac, and I use it myself.
The question
I wanted my own Mac cleaner: one that shows where every file comes from and why it can go, that throws nothing away before I say so, and that does not look like every other utility.
What I built
- Smart Scan reads the disk and lands every find around a hard drive drawn live in Metal.
- Every item gets a verdict: safe, check first or protected. Protected things can never go.
- Everything goes to the Trash, never deleted outright, and the last clean can be undone.
- Space Lens, an Uninstaller that also finds what an app leaves behind, and a screen for memory and processor.
Where it stands
- Runs on my own Mac.
- There is no download: I built it for myself.
